This ideogram project has given me a more dynamically interconnected mind. What do I mean by that? Well, the elements that constitute my mind–the conceptual commitments, mainly– have more structure in themselves AND more connections among themselves, and indeed in a continually electrically lively, creative way–utterly open-ended.
I am pleased with this Vedanta-inspired id for “gods” and with how I can clearly make a noun out of “this” to fit the Vedantic conceptual approach.
Be the first on your block (assuming you don’t live on the same block I do) to get one of these spectacular neoideogram shirts!
It says: Observe the power of ideograms to create
new meaning and awareness of concepts. The images
in your subconscious can be
brought under conscious control. Gain
the freedom of transcending ordinary language. They are
a great resource for mental improvement.
I am pleased with my new id for “quantum” using “only”. Perhaps someone else will appreciate the aptness of it.
Every time I create a new id I build my mind and increase my treasure store of rich, delightful tools for thought. And I create many every day.
“Cognitive science” devotees who put stock in Mark Johnson’s contention that image schemas are functionally important for categorization should appreciate this.
oops, I see I left out the word “tool” in the first alphabetic sentence–“a new mental tool”.
4/9/19 new smart/stupid ids, also of course graphic opposites
“self-happening” is a conceptual improvement over “self-thing”, I think.
3 posts already today. I am on a roll, an ideomaniac.
Just fooling around. It says:
With these ideograms I create new worlds of meaning and freedom–that bring transcendant, unusual actions and thoughts. They offer one expanded mental life and more awareness of both the internal and external observable universes.
I could provide many and probably better examples of linguistic transcendance, but hopefully this will suffice to get the idea across.
I am gleefully off in my own world here.
