It is a lot of work! I create and improve as I go. The old version I work from has a couple of years worth of accumulated new ideograms.

I will generously provide explanatory notes to anyone who writes and asks.

The “circled” is a result of a few moments of creativity in the middle of last night — some good improvements for some finance related terms.
I have been relearning to read Japanese, partly as a stimulus to making new ids, partly to see how my vast reservoir of ids (not as vast as kanji!) serves as a tool for dealing with kanji — with great success on both counts.

I am transcribing the whole of I AM THAT. Since I have been idding for over a decade, I transcribe with fluency and skill. I am much better at creating ideograms than I used to be. Most of the very rich substance of neoideograms is of course in my head rather than written down anywhere. Each ideogram is surrounded by a cloud or matrix of reasons, many of which are obvious, but many of which could use some explanation. I have the idea of making videos in which I go through my whole I’d dictionary and explain. But why should I share all of this richness with people in general? I know from experience that some are just trying to steal it. I would rather be selective.
