Points: ids are expressive and useful. I won’t forget “Fazit” (conclusion) –ein zusammenfassendes Ergebnis. I wonder if “Fazit” is actually short for “zusammenfassend”? It fits, anyway.

As I have said often before, each word/idea is a problem and a challenge in how to represent it graphically. “Force” I find a very difficult concept to illustrate. “Something that tends to influence the motion of a body” is a definition I have read. But that is very vague and incomplete! If and when I come up with an effective, accurate id for “force” I’ll really think I have something. And I will.

Now I didn’t provide notes for the above. If anyone would like them, write to me.
First paragraph from the book “The Character of Physical Law” by Richard Feynman.

Continuing my exploratory exercise of rendering of German prefixes into ids.

I will, as an exercise, present ids for German prefixes/prepositions–ent-, er-, um-, an-, ab-, zer-, etc. It will be a way for me to gain clarity on the meanings of terms beginning with them.
I’ll start with zer-. I think my id for it is very effective–I LIKE IT! I like what I am doing. Having ids — graphic images–for the terms will help them stick in my mind.

This is a good id improvement that I’m sure I’ll use all of the time. I was in fact working on a project and had the thought “I’ll get it done bit by bit” and this is what popped into mind, this is how my subconscious chose to represent the idea.
